ARCHITECTURE FOR KIDS
Akasa Workshops brings architecture to young people through online classes, maker-based workshops, and mapping-walking tours. Exploring architecture at any young age offers kids a path to participate in designing the world they want to live in.
Architecture is STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) and so much MORE! Architecture is integrated learning at it's best: collaborative, and multi-disciplinary. It is easy to see how the built environment affects kids' lives at all scales- from the design of homes, schools, public spaces, neighborhoods and cities. Architecture is all around us!
Through drawing, model-making, mapping, kids can learn to "see", think and design like architects. And with kids coming up with creative solutions to today's complex and interrelated problems, we have a hopeful future.
