About Us
Akasa Workshops was founded by Heather Korb when she was raising her young kids. Making things, building structures and drawing maps by hand filled their days. Creating alongside her children sparked a desire to share that joy of creativity with other kids, combining with what she had learned while studying architecture. She brought projects, events and workshops to the local community, and started teaching architecture to kids online. It had always been her passion to explore architecture, design and cities, but doing it with kids became more fun and fulfilling. From setting up design workshops at local libraries, to taking her own kids traveling to experience built environments around the world, it has become Heather's life journey.
Heather Korb is a registered architect in New York, and she holds a Bachelor of Architecture from NYIT and a Master of Urban Planning from City College of New York. She is a life-long learner, traveler, educator, urbanist and enthusiast of all forms of art & design.
